After looking at Beuys work, and creating some work of my own, i decided to put together a sort of check-list of the items of clothing that you would need, if you wanted to try an emulate me. This came to me after spending time trying to emulate Joseph Beuys for the last few weeks. I found that what was needed to create the feeling of someone was a great range of items. So i created a sort of timeline of my clothing throughout one day...(apart from the suit.) The collection of clothing in the checklist is a typical outfit of my daily life and the point of it is that by collect everything on the list and wearing the same clothes as me, someone may look like me on the surface, but it is what ISN'T on the list which makes me who i am and that is what i am trying to imply. It is the same in Beuys' work, everything about him may be in plain sight, but it is what is left out of his work, that make his pieces more thought provoking.
