And so my research into Joseph Beuys has brought me here... Playing dress up with the invisible man. Below are the self portraits I have created after looking at Beuys' work and deciding that what interested me most was that he forces you to look at his work in a much more lateral way, than you would looking at other artist's work. He makes you look for what isn't there rather than just at what is. Asking questions such as what he was doing at the time or what the object within his work were used for when he decided to make art from them. In the images I have created, I have tried to create a timeline and reflect a day in my life via the use of my clothing. Just because I am not IN the photographs, does not mean that they are not OF me, they contain all the visual elements of my life and existence, except me personally.
